LeBron hits unlikely shot to put Lakers in the finals of overtime for their first win in three weeks

LeBron James scored the only two points in overtime to help Los Angeles beat the Miami Heat, 99-96. Miami had taken the lead with less than 30 seconds to play in regulation after Goran Dragic hit a turnaround jumper to force overtime. LeBron wasn’t impressed. He came up empty on the following trip down court, and Miami’s Hassan Whiteside scored the go-ahead layup with just six seconds to play. But with LeBron having the ball, the game went back to regulation. The Lakers inbounded with 13 seconds to play and time winding down, LeBron drove to the basket and kicked it to Kyle Kuzma who immediately kicked it to LeBron for the go-ahead 3. There weren’t many circumstances in which that could have happened without James hitting the shot.

Miami trailed by just one with under seven minutes to play in the game before they went cold and Los Angeles went on a 6-0 run to take a lead they would not relinquish. James scored 32 points. It marked his 60th game this season in which he’s scored 30 points or more.
